Recently I was looking for a reliable podhost for my German video podcasts. I compared four different hosting providers, two from Germany and two from the US.
The advantage of podhosts in comparison to webhosts
Webhosts usually offer a static amount of storage space. I know, some companies offer unlimited data and transfer, but if you really stress their system they will usually kick you.
Podhosts are different, because the storage space renews every month. So if you have a plan with 100MB/month, you can potentially upload 1200MB every year. Usually PodHosts can actually offer something like a traffic flatrate, because podcasts files aren’t dynamic and can be saved on different servers. [click to continue…]
Recently I wrote about a Mac OSX security flaw on my blog and then I got a lot of DMs via twitter ( http://twitter.com/germanstudent ) saying that Mac OSX is absolutely save. No exception…

It’s almost impossible to keep track of all twitter iPhone clients out there. So I took a deeper look into the iPhone twitter world.
Originally planned as a podcast for my German audience only, I compared and discovered so many apps, that I thought I could give this blog a kick-start by translating and enhancing the information. [click to continue…]
Welcome to my brand new tech blog! My name is Markus and I’m enthusiastic about starting this site!
So what is this blog about?
This blog is mainly about the internet. haha. Well, I try to cover social media and tech news, if this is somehow possible. Additionally I want to write longer HOWTO articles with a lot of screenshots to show how software or things on the web work. I’m always happy about suggestions.
You are important!
And that’s not just a flowery phrase! Of course I don’t know you yet, but what is a website without its visitors? I hope I can connect to a lot of you guys!
